Harford Sports Promotions SA (Pty) Ltd (HSP) is a fully-integrated event management company dedicated to supplying clients with creative solutions, strategic planning and flawless execution of their events.
HSP – specialising in mass participation events, was founded in 1989 by former international women’s tennis star, Tanya Harford. Following her retirement from the Women’s International Tennis Tour, Tanya began building Harford Sports Promotions. Over 30 years later, she and her team have been involved in a host of events, including large music concerts, International Polo events, and two of the world’s largest, and most prestigious events – the MTN Walk the Talk with 702 (largest mass-participation event in Africa) and the 947 Ride Joburg (the second largest timed cycling event in the world). Faces Media have since acquired the commercial rights to Ride Joburg and HSP/Tanjent are no longer involved in the production of the event.
With a dedicated team of passionate professionals and over 30 years of experience within the industry, HSP has the expertise to manage your event from start to finish with professional results, whilst applying international standards. The management and hosting of sporting events in South Africa is a highly specialised field. Faced with the special challenge of organising an event with the logistics of the South African experience, your event management company needs to have a thorough understanding of the regulations and requirements for hosting a spectacular event successfully.
Harford Sports Promotions SA (Pty) Ltd is fully trained and compliant with the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act No.2 of 2010, and has also undergone training at Disaster Management Solutions in Event Safety Management. The training is Services SETA accredited.
